In the morning I had the opportunity to visit Kukkiwon (국기원), the World Headquarters of Taekwondo (태권도). The trip for me was a blessing, as I've wanted to visit here for over a decade, ever since Taekwondo became an integral part of my life. Following Kukkiwon we toured Sookmyung (숙명), a private women's university in Seoul that holds a close relationship with my home college Coe, and after that I took off with my Korean friend to explore Hongdae (홍대), a region known for being a university student hotspot.
Kukkiwon (국기원)
When visiting the World Headquarters of Taekwondo, I found myself in the best of luck: students of the school were practicing for the Great Taekwondo Performance they hold for guests of Kukkiwon. I've attached some videos from the session.

We toured the campus of Sookmyung (숙명), a women's university in Seoul. The university hosts two important museums, the textile museum and the women's university museum. We had the opportunity to tour both while we were there.
It was so great to end the day catching up with my Korean friend in Hongdae (홍대), a region known for being a university student area.
