National Academies Report Affirms ARPA-E’s Early Progress
National Museum of African American History and Culture
Back when I was working on my Communication thesis at Coe, one of my co-advisors highly recommended getting tickets to the African American Museum since I would be in D.C. all summer. However, by the time I went online to pre-order tickets, they were already sold out through August (even though I was doing this in April). It appeared the stars would not align for this venture.
Yet another professor on my defense committee, upon hearing I would be in D.C., immediately set about connecting me with a Coe alumnae who is working as a program specialist in the Smithsonian Science Education Center. I messaged the alumnae, met up with her in D.C., and she got me into the museum!!
I created several slide shows on here for you that highlight some of the most interesting and touching exhibits and informational plaques I found during my tour through the museum.
